 About O2R Visualizer

You know the 02R. You love the 02R. But there's more to love than you might know about. 02R Visualizer brings a new level of flexibility, security and raw power to your 02R mixes by unlocking hidden power within the mixer, seamlessly interfacing 02R power with PC-DAW versatility, and putting everything you need onscreen at once in an easy, pleasing display.

Visualizer connects to your 02R using the available serial cable and gives you instant access to every mixing feature in the mixer with unprecedented flexibility of implementation.

One look at the screen shots will show you why 02R Visualizer is increasingly the choice of live sound engineers and studio recordists around the world...but it won't begin to reveal the raw power under the hood. Save and store any or all types of data managed within the mixer, and much more. Its expandable interface allows you to cascade several 02Rs and control them all from a single PC interface.

02R Visualizer is much more than just a control center and "glorified backup software". It allows you to share and convert mix information between multiple 02Rs and even exchange data with other 02Rs using serial or remote TCP/IP (Internet) transfer protocols.

It doesn't even require MIDI or audio cards on your PC. Live sound engineers can mix from any Pentium-class notebook PC with standard serial port connectors, and studio engineers can control 02Rs using "obsolete" PC hardware they wouldn't normally dream of applying to pro audio applications.

In short, 02R Visualizer is the premier control center and mix manager for the 02R, with the features, reliability and ease of use that will find it a home in any situation where the Yamaha 02R is used.

Hardware and Software Requirements

 Minimum Requirements

 Recommended Requirements

IBM PC, Pentium 133 CPU or newer for a single 02R
Cascaded 02Rs require approx. 100MHz additional CPU horsepower per 02R (e.g. a PIII-500 is recommended for 6 02Rs)

MMX-compatible 200MHz CPU (see left column for additional requirements for controlling multiple 02Rs)

Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0

Windows 98 (multiple monitor support in Win98 dramatically enhances efficiency when used with C-Console)

256MB system RAM strongly recommended; control over cascaded 02Rs can require as much as 512MB

128MB system RAM (prevents possible swapfile thrash which could degrade performance or produce stutter)

One free COM port (modem/mouse-type 9-pin port) per 02R attached serially

USB motherboard (permits mouse to use USB port, reducing the risk of COM port assignment incompatibilities or configuration hassles)

Monitor capable of 1024x768 display resolution and HiColor (16K or 32K colors) or TrueColor (24M colors) display depth; 4MB PCI or AGP graphics adapter

17" monitor for comfortable 1024x768 viewing on a single monitor. Multiple monitors under Win98 or newer are highly recommended over a larger monitor at a higher resolution.
