Hubi's MIDI loopback driver

A software MIDI driver, or "MIDI loopback device", is essential for use of the user controls in C-Console with such things as hard disk recorders and softsynths. There are many such products, but this one is free and is reasonably well-documented in most C-Console manuals and helpfiles.

Text-to-speech core files

C-Console versions dated after January 1, 2000 include text-to-speech support using the C-Face™ Speech Out extension. In order to use this extension, you need registered Windows text-to-speech modules installed. These modules come standard with more recent versions of IBM ViaVoice™ and Dragon Systems' Dragon Dictate™, and Windows 98SE. However, if you don't have the text-to-speech files installed, you'll need to install Microsoft's TTS components from the archive below.

Document readers and printers

Documentation for C-Console, Visualizer and other C-Mexx products comes in Adobe's Acrobat™ PDF format, which requires the Acrobat Reader version 4 software installed on your system. Here'sa link to the most recent version of Acrobat Reader if you need an upgrade or a fresh install. You can select from a variety of languages and platforms directly from Adobe's download page.

Documentation for some C-Console products also comes in editable, printable Microsoft Word for Windows™ document format. The Word document format we use can be loaded on Word for Windows version 6 (16 bit) as well as Word 95/Office 95/Word 7 as well as Word 97/Office 97/Word 8 and Word 2000/Office 2000/Word 9 versions. If you don't have a copy of Word, you can't use Wordpad to browse or print these documents because they contain tables of contents and other types of formatting which are not supported by Wordpad. Star Office™ for Linux should support all Word features used in these documents.

C-Console documentation

Long-awaited helpfiles, DOCs and PDFs have arrived for C-Console DS2416 and C-Console 01V. This is must-read stuff, folks...if you thought you knew C-Console, we think you'll be amazed at what else is lurking under the hood after browsing this material. DOC and PDF format documents are provided for printing; HLPs are provided for use from the Help menu of C-Console, meaning that the helpfile must be copied into C-Console's installed directory to work properly.

C-Console ScreenCam tutorials

These animations are self-running ScreenCam executables. At this time they can be installed and played from anywhere on your system. A coming C-Console update will include a small tutorials menuing utility for playing back the tutorials from directly within C-Console; this tutorial will require creating a subdirectory in your C-Console installed directory and moving the EXEs into this directory so the tutorial menu can find them.

There are separate users' groups for each type of hardware supported by C-Mexx software. Users' group downloads are primarily of use to licensed C-Mexx customers, but access to these files is open to everyone and users' group downloads should function with trial version software.
