Goes Underground AES Amsterdam...
well what can you say, if you've never been to Amsterdam in spring
you are missing out on a lot of fun.
Once again, I got a round trip ticket for about $368 US...you
just can't beat that. I see that Musik-Messe
will be in St. Petersburg during the "White Nights"...hmm now
that sounds even more surreal than
Amsterdam! But seriously, it is totally a cool thing to witness
such a tolerant society which seems to be
very at peace with itself and nobody is getting hurt, crime isn't
everywhere...just stay away from the space
cakes...so they tell me… : ) I think the world should take a good
long look at Amsterdam and rethink some
of their crazy drug war/puritanical mindsets. Life's too short...but
enough of my babbling...: ) I know many
of you have been wondering why C-Mexx had been so silent in the
past months...well, they are very busy
working in their secret underground lab on a very exciting new
product. MIR (midi interactive remote)
www.mircontrol.com will be released by the end of June.
This little monster will solve a ton of your problems
when it comes to remote controlling all of your multimedia needs.
Imagine walking on stage and controlling
your monitors eq and gain without having to run back to the sound
board...Imagine walking around your venue
and controlling your room eq and channel delays...Imagine controlling
your POD's deeper
parameters without the need for a computer software editor and
furthermore utilizing the optional "Live-Line"
cable to gain an analog volume pedal and footswitch to map wah-wah
and patch changes! Imagine controlling
your light show with the optional DMX conversion box! With 128k
of onboard ram, you can load this bad boy up
with as many presets that you can think of...plus we will be offering
a ton of them for free, downloadable of
the web. The software editor is going to be both PC/Mac compatible
and is a really easy way to get all of your
sysex, cc's, nrpn & rpns, mmc and midi files into MIR. Just load
them up, put it in your pocket and go to the gig...
it's that simple. The best thing about the MIR is that you can
give all of those cryptic midi controllers & sysex
strings alias', meaning that you can give them "real world" terminology...just
type it into the editor and your done.
Midi Remote Control has never been faster or easier...MIR, let
the control revolution begin.
