How to submit your own files

 Libraries (.clb files)

Libraries, which use the .clb file extension, could contain EQ, dynamics and effects presets for the DS2416. These files can be installed to, and opened from, any directory on your system using the library browser buttons or File|Open menu item.

 Mixer snapshots/sessions (.csn/.css files)

These files are complete mixer snapshots (.csn files) or sessions (.css files). In most cases, session files will contain MIDI remote setup data for use with particular applications or hardware devices, while snapshots will show off unique implementations of the hardware using interesting C-Console setups.

 "Skins" and alternative dialog designs

Think you've got what it takes to design your own skins? Perhaps you do. Find out about the C-Console SDK to see if a new suit of clothes is in your C-Console's future.

"Skins"

"Skins" are virtual mixing surfaces that behave exactly the same way as your current C-Console dialogs but sport a different appearance, similar to skins for Winamp/Macamp.

Alternative mixing surfaces

Alternative mixing surfaces go a step farther than skins, either redesigning an existing C-Console dialog with different control styles or positions, or adding completely new capabilities to your C-Console with a brand new dialog which may or may not offer a new appearance. Alternative surfaces which offer new features will add new menu items to your View menu.

LUI (Little User Interface) (off-site page link)
LUI is Garry Simmons' marvellous little Windows control center for the DSP Factory. It's just the ticket if you want something small, fast-loading and easy to use for "everyday" DS2416 use when you're gaming, playing MP3s or otherwise in need of audio control from your DS2416 and don't feel like loading C-Console.

dspfact-l 1998/99 list archive (incomplete; plaintext; 1.6MB)
dspfact-l is an Internet mailing list for DSP Factory owners managed by Teklab, makers of A3KDisky and A3KCentral . This archive is a plaintext collection of most messages posted to dspfact-l between December, 1998 and September, 1999. There are a couple of gaps in the archive, but it still provides a fairly massive resource for useful DS2416 tips, tricks, FAQs and troubleshooting advice, and - if you do a little digging - a fairly rich collection of interesting links. Highly recommended.

dspfact-l 1999 list archive (partial; Microsoft Outlook .dbx format; 1.8MB)
This dspfact-l archive is not readable as plaintext. It can be imported into Outlook Express only if you have user profiles configured correctly for Outlook.

The dspfact-l list is one of the mailing lists offered by TekLab, and is free to all members of the Internet community to use. For subscription information, point your browser to http://www.teklab.com/Internet.html. This list is highly recommended to all DSP Factory owners. Teklab offers many other highly informative Internet communities for musicians and engineers.
